“The servant-leader is servant first. The servant-first makes sure that other people’s highest priority needs are being served: Do those served grow as persons; do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? And, what is the effect on the least privileged in society; will he benefit, or at least, will he not be further deprived?” ~ Robert K. Greenleaf, The Servant as Leader ~
The ECS committee is charged with developing programming to support the professional development and advancement of Early Career Scholars within SPSSI. From 2013-2016, I helped ECS to develop panel and roundtable programming at SPSSI’s biannual conferences.
The SAFER Committee is an ad hoc committee that monitors and advises the president on College policies, practices and educational initiatives in the area of sexual assault prevention and response. One of the major initiatives of the committee has been to train incoming students in the Bringing in the Bystander prevention program–an evidence-based program that teaches students how to intervene in situations where sexual assault is likely to occur. Presently, I coordinate quantitative and qualitative program assessment activities in order to evaluate the efficacy of the program on the Holy Cross campus.
